Im in my 40s and I really want to chat with some good decent peeps about other things besides sex 24/7. Everytime I find a room, its bombarded with "Is there any old guys that wanna see my cam?" and the guys all ask what my fetish is right away. Im far from being a prude...but Im getting weary of starting off a convo like this. Anyone know of a decent site where people actually chat about other things...like actually getting to know each other? This keeps up and Im going to head to the nearest bar...not much of a second option...sigh......

That is a good question. The main reason why I don't partake in the chatrooms anymore is because they are littered with nothing but bots and perverts trying to cyber with each other. The best thing one can do to meet people besides go to bars and nightclubs is to search a reputable personals (match.com, eharmony, etc.) or look in other social avenues where alcohol is not being consummed in large quantities.
Here are a few places I suggest:
1) Schools or other places of learning.
2) Churches or other places of worship.
3) Volunteer Groups
4) Libraries and bookstores.
If you are looking for love online, many times you will be disappointed big time. Besides, you and everyone else should get out more. :)

I've been busy lately but I used to go to Advice Central One. I made sure they knew I don't do sex. They were fine with that. I had to keep putting the 'bots' on ignore and towards the end there where heaps of them. I also blocked personal messages so that no one could harrass me. Have fun. Communtiy 2 was also fun.
