1. You cannot be a catholic if you do not believe what catholics believe, for your religion is essentially what you believe.
2. I suggest that you think about how the universe came to be. It cannot have always been there (even the big bang theory theorises this, for there had to have been a pre-existing universe to supply the matter), for an infinite past requires that time should flow backwards. So some omnipotent force that exists outside of time must have created it. And this omnipotent force would have to be God, even if you call him something other than "God."

Peace be onto you,
GOD hm.. Belif in God,
If you don't believe in God, then it means that you believe that this universe came into being, from no where. Hmm.. is it possible?
ask this question from ur heart and brain both.
Through out the History of Human beings, people believed in a Powerful deity, because they knew that this world cannot exist with out someone powerful behind it. look at the sky it is there without the support of the pillar, but acting as shelter.
Don't you see how rain drops are formed and then showers. Don't you see that birds leave their nest with a hope to fulfill their stomach and bring some food for their children, and they do not return hopeless.
Why don't you see that You can't live in the water but fish can,
and fish cannot live on land but you can.
Why don't you see that their is a HOT lava underneath you RIGHT NOW, which when erupts, turns into smoke every thing which comes in its way, but you and every one around the world is living on that lava, and this lava only affects when it erupts.
Why you never gave a thought about your body. Hundred and thousand of things are going on right now in ur body and u never ask from someone to have it but you do.
You breath but involuntarily,
Your stomach digest involuntarily,
Your Heart pumps involuntaril,
Your eyes works involuntarily, when you open them
Your body uses the good stuff and excretes the bad stuff
and that is involuntarily.
There are a lot more, and do you still think that every thing happens without someone controlling it.
God is there, and He is the one who created me and you and every thing around us.
He didn't left us alone without any guidance.
He sent messengers from time to time todifferent people in the different parts of the world. There followers were the one who changed the Pure teachings of the messengers fo God and made those messengers their supreme deity or associated their leaders with God.
YOU said tht you are Catholic and you don't believe in God.
Probably that is becuase The Bible is contradictory to itself. I have read the Old testament and New Testament. Old Testament teaches us about God as God but New teaches us Jesus and God and "Trinity."
Read QUR'AN and you will find answers of all your questions. Probably that is the reason a lot of Bishops and Priests and Nuns are coverting to Islam, because they find Islam Clear, Truth, and easy to understand without contradictory.
QURAN IS CLEAR AND VERY EASY TO UNDERSTAND, CONTACT THE LOCAL MOSQUE IN UR AREA AND ASK THEM FOR A FREE QURA'N AND READ IT.
May God (Allah in Arabic) show us straight path.

I believe, because someone had to have brought this reality into being (a something couldn't have, because things do not have conscience).
A theologian of the past once said that if God exists, then He exists necessarily, because how can anyone explain our surroundings? Athiests usually answer that our reality happened coincedentally, that is, it created itself. I've yet to observed anything creating itself. Besides, it is illogical, because a thing would have to be in existence before it would have created itself.
Christians, for example, would have to explain the existence of pain of suffering, whereas the atheist would have to expalin everything else. Good Luck!

I believe in God, but not the god taught by some religions that is the three-in-one guy. I believe God is separate and apart from Jesus Christ and from the Holy Ghost, that God and Christ both have bodies, but the Holy Ghost doesn't at this time. God is not spirit, is not invisible, is not absent, is not dead, is not revengeful or mean. He is alive and well, just as you are, and knows you and even your name and thoughts. He's the father of your spirit and he's probably very disappointed that you don't believe in him. But you will eventually find out that you're wrong.

I believe in A God, as in, not a God that only certain religions or a religion deem as existent but rather I believe in the fact that there is something, somewhere, that is greater than all of us.. that is, perhaps, responsible for our being.
I didn't want to read the answers to this and feel as though I just attended a Sunday school class. SAVE YOUR PREACHING FOR THE SOMEONE ELSE, PEOPLE. THIS IS NOT THE PROPER FORUM FOR IT.

I most certainly do believe God is the creator of all things and he is the most High over all the earth.
I have had way to many insights in my life not to believe in God.
I,m sorry that you have doubt but maybe if you took some time and studied what the Bible says about him ten you could make a better judgment.

I don't think that GOD exists, I KNOW that he does, and for whatever reason or reasons that you do not believe he exists may only hurt you in the long run, I would advise that you stop playing church because he knows everything, I hope that you find him in your life, so that you can see just how much he loves you and how he has blessed you!!!!!

Your one of the reasons why Catholics are losing their credibility in the world. Did you know that Jesus said "I wonder if I will find any faith left, when I return?" Do you know why he said this? Because of people like you. I feel sorry for Jesus because he is there waiting for you to love him because he loves you so very much and you just brush him off like he is garbage. I sure hope you don't go to Holy Communion because you receive Jesus and if you don't believe in him and you go out and start sinning you yourself are guilty of Whipping him with the whips and hurting him. God have mercy on you if you do not know what you are doing. Read the story of The Little Flower. I do not just believe in God because I KNOW there is a God and everything he has said is true. I have seen him --- it is all real.

Yes, I believe in, and know, the love and mercy of the one true God, and salvation thru His Son, Jesus.
Being raised one thing or another doesn't mean that's what you are. Being Christian (or Catholic) is a LOT more than just going to church with your parents.

I was raised catholic but I don't think I ever really believed. I've been an atheist at least since high school.
And you're right -- every culture since the days of the cave men invented a deity or deities to explain everything that needed explaining. The religions that we know are simply the updated versions of the shaman's explanation: "Night Demon is eating Moon Maiden again, give me silver and I'll make him spit her out."
