a guy in the bar asked me !! he said how do ya fit a pint of water into a half pint glass .. nope to ice cubes..nope to altering the glass.. but it can be done

fill the half pint glass half with sawdust

fill a plastic bag with 1pt of water and seal it.
push the bottom half into the half pint glass - 1pt in a 1/2pt glass

Make the glass wide enough.
V=h(pi)r^2
pint=.5 in (pi) r^2
pint/.5(pi)=r^2
square root (pint/.5(pi))=r

Fill it half with saw dust then pour the water in to it , the saw dust will absorb the water !!!!!!
