Wouldn't it be a better remembrance of your deceased love one to do something positive in the spirit of Christmas than to put a fake tree on a gravesite?

Many cemeteries won't permit this sort of thing, and the chances of vandalism or theft are pretty high. It would only make you sadder to find your decorations gone or trashed.

Whoever this person was that you obviously loved and missed would likely much happier if you took a tree and decorations to a poor or lonely living person who can actually enjoy them. I do believe those who have gone on know what happens here and will understand that you are remembering and loving them in sharing some holiday spirit with others.

Losing those we love is hard, and I understand why you want to remember, but please consider another way than a decorated grave. The spirit that does not die will see whatever honor you bestow.

I'm not sure what this is doing in the photography section but...

I have not seen a Christmas tree yet, but I have seen several crosses and angels that have solar panels on the back of them. They charge in the daytime and glow softly at night. If you are into this sort of thing, the ones I have seen have stickers from the local memorial companies (where they sell gravestones), so maybe you can find one there.

I'm not saying to buy one on eBay (although I buy on eBay all the time), but you can see what I mean by clicking on these auctions.

You could also just get a small tree, like 15-18" and decorate it with non-electric ornaments. >sigh< That's what we do...
