nope, i'm afraid they're gone.
the space where they were originally stored on your hard disc will have been overwritten by your re-installation of windows when you used the restore cd on your machine.
although you *can* get rescue/undelete softwares i've never found any of them that work very well even if the data hasn't been overwritten - pictures tend to be unopenable or corrupt at best.
and that is the same for the ones you can pay big money for too, they are often equally as incapable of recovering files even under the easiest of circumstances
but if you want to try for yourself, here is a freeware one:

it's a harsh lesson in why you should always make backups - or have secondary hard drive installed and keep all your important files on that one so you don't lose anything when you re-install windows.

Did you honestly attempt this through device fix? Or did you make the most of production unit disks,? Assuming you probably did it with XPs fix would not overwrite those documents factors, it is going to really replace device files. If the acct replaced into corrupted, it is going to create a sparkling person for the documents less than C:archives And Settings you'll likely see a person account .. say person.'call of pc' Now, if that could not the case, right that is a treatment link . examine IT!!!... attempt those 2- sloutions out, I wager ya 2 factors they are oftentimes recovered. stop utilizing the pc till eventually YOU fix IT! LOL! depart a remark in this thread, ok?

Where about did you save the images? If you DIDN'T save them in the Documents and Settings directory you might be able to restore the images using System Restore.
Start - All Programs - Accesories - System Tools - System Restore.
Choose a date before the incident occured and that date must be hight lighted in Bold. Once the image has been restored if your not happy with the result you can revert back to how the system was before using System Restore.

Only if you had them backed up to disk or CD. I went through that lesson learned in 2004 and I'm still working on re- scanning the pictures that I have prints of to this day. I feel your pain. All of the 1st year I had a digital camera are just memories for me now.

If you format C partition you loose all whats in there you should not store things important in C as any problems that's normally the partition that gets deleted. So now remember to move things to other partitions D,E and F first before doing anything. As they will still be there after even a clean install of windows.I have done 3 clean installs and still have all my photos on other partitions

If you have restored your PC to its original factory settings, your pics will be deleted, download this data recovery software to get back photos and files.

I had to do the same. If your computer has a recoverey hard drive then you can recover all your work. If not, try going to HARD DRIVE C:. There you should be able to browse around through the folders and find your work back. Hope it works.
