I would guess he was poisoned, but , could have been many different things, and sadly, you will never know for sure unless you have a necropsy done. The only other thing I can say to you is that I'm so sorry for your loss
Rest in Peace little doggy.

Excessive bleeding from the anus could have been caused by several different things: he could have had a ulcer that started bleeding; he could have sustained trauma to his abdomen (like being kicked); he could have had cancer; he might have had a blood disorder that kept the blood from clotting normally...
From you description it sounds like he may have ingested rat poison. Such poisons break down blood vessles and keep the blood from coagulating, so the animal "bleeds out".
If you can afford a necropsy (an "autopsy" for animals), your vet may be able to tell you for sure what happened.
We grieve with you and the loss of your dog.

When they have Parvo they bleed and die but usually it takes a few days to happen. He could have been poisened or eaten something that caused him to bleed internally like a chicken bone or something. That's why you never feed dogs bones.
Just some of the ones that are sold for them or a big round ham bone but never long bones. I don't know what to tell you. If you decide on another dog, make sure it's inside at night. Sometimes a barking dog outside makes people mad and they do horrible thingds to animals. Then make sure it never gets out loose where it can ge hold of anything dangerous. Of course it needs imunizarions. all it takes is for a dog with parvo to be in the yard or poop in your yard for him to catch it. So, I just don't know but keep these things in mind next time. so sorry for your loss.

How tramatic; you must have been frantic; I am so so sorry for your loss; did the vet have any idea what it could be? you could spend the money but still may not be able to exactly tell you. I do understand your concern, you want to know what happen to your pet so suddenly. I would ask your vet again what he thinks the causation. Could be poisoning, ingesting rodent killer? ; could be intestinal blockage that ruptured or other diseases of the intestinal tract; your vet may have better diagnosis, ask him; I am so sorry ; you did all that you could do . I can tell how much you loved him.

Sounds like he was probably poisoned. I would have had a necropsy(pet autopsy) done to find out for sure. I am so sorry that your dog died.

Sam , my condolences ,i'm so sorry. I can't tell you what was wrong with your dog, maybe poison. The only way to really find out would be through a necropsy.

Two things are most likely. First, he got into something that poisoned him, or second, he swallowed an object that damaged his digestive tract. That's really hard luck and I'm sorry for your loss.

Yeah, that's definitely some sort of poison that the poor guy ate. If you have an autopsy done, you'll find out just what it was.
