I didn't realize it was so easy. I've tried cutting a recipe in half before, but the results turned out different from the original. I probably did the math wrong or something.

Divide the ingredient components by 1/4 or 1/3 of the recipe.

To Turn From 6 To 2 You Need To Divide All Ingredients By 3

To Go From 8 To 2 Divide Amounts By 4

Best Advice. Use The Recipe For 6 Servings, And Cut It In Half. Serving Sizes In Recipes Are Kinda Small.

I usually just divide all the ingredient amounts by whatever number is needed to arrive at the right amount of servings. For example, if your recipe serves 6, then divide all the ingredients by 3 to make enough to serve 2. Or if the original recipe serves 8, then divide by 4. The only time it really gets tricky is when there are eggs involved and you end up needing 1/2 egg or something. In that case, I just beat the egg and try to pour only 1/2 into the recipe. Good Luck! :)

If the recipe is for 6, divide the ingredient dosages by 3. If it is for 8, divide them by 4.

you would divide the ingredients into 3 equal portionsfor the 6 and 4 equil portions for the 8, and use one of the portions. That will make a 2.
Hope that helps.
