My boyfriend takes everything anyone says really personal and gets mad or upset about it. If I tell him he just needs to relax and not get upset he gets mad about that. I love him very much and he is not abusive or anything he just gets upset and won't talk what should I do? One example is we share a cell phone plan and I told him that we have 550 daytime minutes and that he had already used 337 and I had used 82 so we only had like 131 left for 2 weeks for the both of us. Well he got really upset and said well I will just give th phone back to you so I don't go over and didn't talk to me for like 4 hours, it made me feel really bad. So what should I do? Please help!

Hey, girl, there's absolutely nothing you can do.... when he is in an extraordinary good mood talk to him, say sweetly that he shouldnt be so angry about stuff, that you dont mean to be mean, and that you love him a lot.

Also, when he is angry, just back off, get away from him, and dont take it personally, sometimes guys are angry because work isnt so nice, or something, and they take it out on us, the patient girlfriends, so really, it is a signal of trust that he is angry at you... even if you didnt like it.

Be nice, be patient, and talk to me, i had /have sometimes the same problem.

quote: "it made me feel really bad."

you're in a relationship with a guy you love, but he's making you feel bad about yourself and things between the two of you. do you honestly think that's a good thing? if you still think that your relationship is healthy, realize that the way he acts is way of controlling you and manipulating you. he's making you feel bad, he's keeping control of the situation, and as a result, he's getting what he wants. if you insist on being in a relationship with someone who treats you like this, you should at least talk to him and explain how this all makes you feel.

but also understand that you said that he's not abusive. maybe he isn't physically abusive, but manipulation and belittlement is only the beginning of emotional abuse.

He might need to get some professional help because it sounds like he has some serious anger managment issues. Best thing you can do is be supportive and tell him how his temper makes you feel.

You need to dump him because things that small is not good wat so ever. If he wan'ts to act like that then forget about him. If u can not forget about him then u need to talk to him about his temper and tell him either he getts better with his anger or it is over. make him choose there is so much u can do in a realtionship before it just has to be over!

I think that you should call his bluff on the phone and get him off of it. Give it to your mom or something. You are trying to be reasonable. Not sure what to think about his anger. It could be a lot of things...not enough sleep...work.....all of which do not involve you.

That behavior is emotional control-it is immature, selfish and self-centered. He needs to grow up and you need to get out.

He's using your own emotions to exert control over you. It won't get better. Dump his butt.
