Latin for the reasons stated by others - medical terminology is steeped in Latin.

After that, I guess it really depends on where you plan to work when you get out of medical school. If you plan to work in South Florida where there is a heavy Latino population, I don't know that fluency in Italian serves you really well. Of course, if you plan to practice in Paris, I don't know that a heavy Spanish background does you a lot of good.

For research- Latin or Greek, since so many words have roots in Greek and Latin. It's also much easier to learn Italian and Spanish if you've taken Latin.
If you want to work abroad, then any language is useful. Props to you for wanting to learn a foreign language.

Latin because most science and medical words are based on Latin roots. So take latin.

I took Latin and was horrible at it, but it still helps me teach science to my students everyday.

Greek is also useful.

Latin would be best because a lot of scientific terms are derived from Latin. Other languages are helpful if you want to read their scientific journals.

latin would help because most terms are latin based. however, spanish is helpful in medicine because it is the second most common language in the u.s., and you'll probably need to communicate with spanish speaking patients at some time or another.
