Some dogs are very good at detecting things that are bad. I've heard where dogs will do certain things (even bite their owner) to warn them that something is wrong. It could be that he/she knows your leg is broken. However if it's more like he/she just wants to play, then you might want to get a few toys from a pet store that will keep him/her occupied and away from your cast.

Tell it no and push it away from your cast. Get its attention away from the cast. Try covering it up with something so it can't see it. Maybe that will help. Or put some spray the dog doesn't like on it like perfume or deodorant??

Your poor dog is probably wondering why this thing is attacking his mom's leg. Reassure him and let him know that it's not hurting you. Give a bone or something to divert his attention.

Tell him to knock it off.
There is something in the cast that must not be to pleasant.
I had both arms in casts at one time, the dog at the time tried like yours to take it off, hurt like crazy and I had to tell her to knock it off.....

He/she noticed a difference about you, and doesn't like it, act like your hurting when he attacks. The dog should notice your attitude and start to know you have a booboo.

its a foreign object that smells funny to your dog, u might have to separate yourself from your dog for the sake of healing your leg
