Yes it is good for the pup to soothe the cough but do make sure it is the childrens one. Hope the pups get well soon.

You asked this question an hour ago. I am sure it dose help kennel cough, but with the pups being so young you need to seek advise from your vet. If it is a emergency your surgery should have an out of hours clinic available on their answer machine. Good luck and I hope they are well soon.

When my golden retriever got kennel cough a good few years ago our vet gave her a bottle of baby benlyin as well as antibiotics, she had to have half a teaspoon twice a day, but honestly before you even attempt to give your dog conventional medicines check with your vet first, your dogs are only tiny puppies and the vet might not allow it, hope they are better soon and good luck.

Take all your canines to the vet, and get an anti-biotic. Kennel Cough is contagious. the drugs isn't too high priced in any respect. We went by this those days as quickly as we observed from the Humane Society.

As they are only 4weeks old, don`t give them any medicine at all, their stomach lining is like tissue paper at the moment.. Get something from the vet, in the mean time if you have any honey, put a tiny amount on your finger and let them lick it. That may soothe their throats.I do hope they get better soon.

do not give meds intended for humans to animals, as they are dangerous and need to be in proportion to weight. But what will help is watered down warm milk and honey. Best would be a spacific antibiotic from the vet to avoid possible further respiritory infection. Good luck.

I think you should ask you vet for some appropriate puppy medicine. You don't want your pups to be getting the trots aswell as their bad coughs!!!!

Benylin IS perfectly safe for dogs, however always consult a vet first, and more especially as your puppies are so young. I have used this on one of my dogs but he was an adult dog. We used this on the army dogs, it was prescribed by the army vet, so please talk to your vet first!
