I find myself asking this day after day. Why did he create it and why won't he take it away?

First of all, I do believe in God. Second I'm not talking about mental diability but more along the lines of personality disorders and mood disorders and the like. Mental illness is an internal struggle and my belief in God, while helpful is not solving my problems...

What ever gave you that silly idea God didnt create mental illness it is a by product of sin and lifestyle ,drugs , stress, trauma, and in some cases messing with the demons or passing on a genetic trait by too closely intermaring close relatives, poisons and tetragenic and carcinogens and sometime we do it to ourselves by the careless acts we do Gorbalizer p.s. in his kingdom hortly to come all diseases mental or otherwise will be done away with

God did not create mental illness. It was a product of sin in the world. I personally know someone with down syndrome but the have one of the biggest hearts. When I'm around them I can just feel their passion. I saw a skit once and they guy pretended to be mentally ill. He said "I wish people wouldn't make fun of me just because my problem is on the outside. Everyone has problems but mine is easier to see" Its just another thing in life that's to be overcome

He didn't. Just as He didn't create sickness, poverty, or disease. All these things are results of sin, which began when it entered the world in the garden of Eden. There is a time coming when all these things will be no more.

God didn't create mental illness because he doesn't exist. Mental illness is the result of missing/messed up chromosomes and the fact that some religions turn people this way.

this is not attainable to have solid organic and organic cells with out having undesirable cells. If there have been no undesirable cells no person could have any information of what a solid cellular grew to become into. If there have been no biologically undesirable cells all cells could be same and then we would all be clones. could you choose to be a clone, or could you like the possibility of being struck with a psychological ailment?

Mental illness it just another test from Allah - or as Christians would say "a cross to bear". Everyone has something in this life - some people don't have arms, some don't have legs, some don't have their senses, some have depression, etc.....

perhaps he didn't. In the book of Job (in the Bible), job is a very faithful man. The devil inflicts him with all sorts of bad luck, including illnesses.
