Elton is a bigot plain and simple. He thinks his atheistic beliefs are better than the beliefs that others have. He probably doesn't know that his religion of atheism has caused more death than any other religion has.
His music sucks nowadays anyway. He used to be good when Taupin wrote the lyrics, but now he's dreadful.

Banning all religions because of some extremists is going a little far. and just because Religions denounce homosexuality as a sin?
that is the same as Banning religions because they denounce murder as a sin.
if Sins such as Murder were commonly accepted as Permisible then people would be killing others for even stupider reasons than they do already.
And then if it was taken to the extreme of everyone killing at least one other person in their life time, then the Human Race would become Extinct within one Generation.
Anything that is capable of causing the extinction of the human race within one generation should be considered a Sin and made illegal. If Homosexuality was Practiced By every Individual The Human Race would Become Extinct within One Generation.

Ban each and every faith in the international? does not that be the non secular ideals of a few BILLION people? provide me a ruin... it could be lots much less perplexing just to restrict the song of Elton John, a miles greater clever and non violent answer.

That is just too extreme! Extremism is the enemy, not mainstream religion. Most religious folks are moderates. Saying that all religion should be banned is just as extreme, and stupid, as those who claim to have the One True Faith that makes all other faiths False and Paths to Damnation. I doubt Sir Elton John has done anything constructive or useful by this recent comment.

this is an extremist version of atheism, almost taking 'atheism' to a point of 'religion' in itself
some gay people are becoming increasingly militant, they do not like people who are not like them, hang around with their own kind and increasingly seek to impose their lifestyle on others
control freaks to the extreme, religion is not to blame the people who cause problems simply use religion as an excuse - there would still be homophobia if you did this and it would probly be worse

You go, Elton! He is so right! Like he said, we are all God's people, and we all have to get along. Spirituality and religion are two different things, and I've always known that. Religion is man made, and it does promote hatred and intolerance. God made everyone different, and God loves everyone, regardless of whether they are born gay or straight. So if they can't get it right, ban it. That's not turning from God, it's turning from a warped way of thinking.
