Think abut it. If you called someone a worthless excuse of a human being then chances are you were expressing your opinion of that person. Your male friend is expressing his opinion of you when he calls you names. If his opinion of you is low then there is no future in that relationship. Leave and don't look back.

Of course it is. No self-respecting woman would ever put up with that. She deserves a man who treats her the way she wants to be treated, and I wouldn't expect any woman to want her guy to call her names.

I believe if he's joking and not serious, yes; but if he does it all the time, tell him how it makes you feel. if he does it purposely and doesn't care how it makes you feel , then get rid of him; he obviously doesn't respect you and honors your wishes and heart.
