i have a curtain rod in a small bedroom that is the type with the pull string to open and close. i would like to replace the curtains but don't even no what style that is called, where to get them, or if they even still make them

They are called pinched pleated drapery. You have to use a needle looking spear that w/2sides that slides into the back of the drapery & has a half loop like structure that fits onto the rod into a tiny hole on a bar/on the curtain rod. You can find those at walmart & kmart. Count the pleats your curtain has & thats how many of the drapery pins you'll need.

They are called drapes and yes you can still buy them. All major catalogs, Sears, Penneys, etc. all have them.
