I know photoshop is the most common but I already tried it and dont want to buy it and I dont really want to illegally download it

Does anyone know of a free program that they can recommend and that is totally virus free?

yes I do, I use and recommend the Free program from google it's virus free for sure and it's a full version " as opposed to trial" and it costs you nothing ,it's totally FREE , here is the link for your convenience:

Picasa is a great editing program. It's not as advanced as Photoshop, I don't believe there is a free program out there that has the features of Photoshop. Picasa will allow you to do basic editing. It's free through Google:

Give it a shot, see if it's what you're looking for.

Have you considered Photoshop Elements? Version 5.0 just came out and they are closing out Version 4.0 in all the stores for about $35-40. This is an immensely powerful program.

hey there;

i downloaded picasa, its a grrreat program, but not as advannced and technical as adobe photshop. But Picasa will allow you to do basic editing. It's free through Google.
