Hello!
No, I wouldn't be offended at all!
I think it's polite and considerate if someone says that to a person who has sneezed.
It doesn't matter if the person who sneezed is religious or not-- you're just showing that you care enough to say it to them.
Don't worry if they get offended; you didn't do anything wrong.

The original concept of "G-D Bless You" was German, Genhunztite (I pardon my spelling.) In medieval Germany, when one sneezed, the superstitious German's believed one was close to death. There really isn't any reason to be offended, at least from my standpoint. It's a common saying now in the English language.

Yeah, i think of I observed the comparable comedian some months in the past. Dwayne cook dinner or something like that i think of. OH nicely, not possibly very unique fabric. i assume he did the difficulty approximately an atheist transforming into to be fertilizer for a tree to make paper for bibles out of too. in any case, no i don't get indignant if somebody says God Bless if I sneeze. in the event that they bypass me a tissue i could even say thank you. Tissue paper is a extra valuable use of wood than bibles in my view. --------- extra desirable: do you be attentive to why they started asserting God Bless you? It became into like a mini prayer for God to interchange despite the fact that lots of your soul had escaped once you sneezed. the human beings lower back then in northern Europe certainly concept you sneezed slightly your soul away with each and every sneeze and if it became into not lower back you will get unwell and die. It became into not certainly a pair of demon stepping into you. thinking how the ailments that make you sneeze additionally killed dissimilar human beings 3 hundred years in the past it almost feels like a lifelike thought.

I'll tell you what would really offend me. If I sneezed and someone said "Za vashe zdorovye!" that would really piss me off, cause I don't believe in that stuff. That would cause me irkage, okay? I was down at the park eating blue jello with a few friends a kind of informal picnic and I heard one guy say "Za vashe zdorovye" and that really affected me, but I tried to ignore it cause he didn't say it to me.

I am a Pagan and this would not offend me.
some people use things like this just to get attention and to draw attention to themselves.
unless the person was a die hard devil worshiper (not a statnist)
i cannot see why this would be offensive. it is meant in a kind and generous way.

It's just a saying. I swear, some people have nothing better to do than turn eveything into an issue. I wouldn't be surprised if someone takes me to task for using the words, "I swear".

This person should be more appreciative in your kind gesture than their dislike for the religious aspect behind it. Not a very thoughtful person indeed!
