3 jealous husbands and their wives have to cross a river using a boat that is only big enough for 2 people at a time. How can they cross the river so that no woman is left in the company of any other woman's husband unless her husband is also present?

FWB relationships often end up like this. Although in the beginning people claim that they are only there for one reason, eventually all the ugly things that we are trying to avoid from a real relationship creep in and soon enough it is just like a relationship. Jealousy, ownership and questions such as where were you, who were you with etc. begin. Admit that this is happening to this relationship and then you will better understand.

Two have to go first, but one has to return the boat so ..... husband and wife go first; he leaves wife alone on the other side, returns and picks up second husband; second husband leaves first husband with first wife and returns to pick up his wife, takes her across river to join first husband and wife; second husband then returns and picks up third husband; third husband leaves second husband with first husband and wife and second wife; then third husband picks up his wife, crosses the river and joins the other two couples? That way, no woman is left alone with a man who is not her husband. Jealousy is a sad thing!!

seems to me they need to call Travelocity......

Husband and wife#1 both go across.
Wife 1 leaves hubby1 and returns
wife 1 & 2 go across. Wife 1 stays and wife 2 rows back.
wife 2 and hubby 2 go across, hubby 2 stays.
wife 2 returns, wife 2 & 3 go across wife 2 stays.
wife 3 returns, picks up hubby 3 and both cross to join other couples.

they each take a boat and sing
Row, row, row your boat,
Gently down the stream.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
Life is but a dream.
