You've already received some great answers and we had tried all of those too. I think it depends on the age of the child but here is one thing that I think would help any age. My son just slept really, really sound... and I figured out what he always did it around 2:30 am after I had gone to bed. I got an alarm clock and set it to the radio for 2am. Music isn't so jarring as an alarm. The one I had gradually got louder as it played too. The first couple of times I had to come in wake up him and walk him in there. Eventually he started to wake up at that time each night and go to the bathroom. That's all it took. Each child is different though. Good luck!

Well I never wet the bed only once and I was real sick but thats because my mother set her alarm every 3 hours to get me up to go to the bathroom but she did my sisters ever 4 hours the only reason I was 3 was because she had to give me a drink of water before bed or my throat would go dry so if your kids don't have to have a drink before bed then don't give them one and set your alarm ever 4 hours to get up and take them to the bathroom soon enof they'll start doing it on there own

Hi,
Depends on age as most kids will grow out of it naturally.
Most important, dont make a fuss as it will upset him more and he could do it because of stress or fear.
Try and not let him have a drink a few hours prior to bed time, make sure he goes to the toilet before retiring for the night and every few hours wake him gently to encourage him to go for a wee.
My Son wets the bed on the odd occasion and he is 10yrs of age, if it becomes of concern, maybe make a visit to your local GP. good luck.

My daughter wet the bed until she was almost 12. It runs on my busband's side of the family. I would try not to give her anything to drink 2 hours before her bedtime. Then when I was going to bed around midnight, I would wake her up and take her to the toilet. Eventually your child will grow out of it.

All of the answers are great. Above all, I'm not saying you are, but don't get angry with your child because it is not being done on purpose. It will be a struggle, but it can be cured. My son did that until he was 12. We did everything we could to help him, but he finally figured out a solution that was good for him.

try not to give the child any liquids after dinner. put a night light in the bathroom and in her/his bedroom. he/she may just be afraid to get up. always make them use the bathroom before bed and maybe if you could wake them before you go to bed to see if they have to go. good luck and they will get it it just takes time.

Train him to go to the bathroom before he goes to sleep. Never scold him if he does it again.
