The price of knee replacement surgery is very low in India as compared to USA, UK and Canada. My cousin also got her hip replacement surgery in India through the forerunners healthcare .She is more than very happy with the results. She is totally pain free now. She just paid 25% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines. I have read a lot of their patient stories also. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as all joint surgery is not covered by insurance in USA or by NHS in the UK. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that your surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

not to be scared. It will take your pain away. My mom had it done in her 80's. In a couple weeks, she was up and walking. she had a home with no bathroom upstairs and so we thought she would have to have a comode and the health nurse come in etc, cause she lived alone. She just started walking the steps right away, slowly, very slowly. Plus they show you how to tie your shoes and pick up things before you go home. There is a gadget to help you pick up things from a chair etc that they show you in physical therapy. She went for a checkup in six weeks and walked into the clinic without her walker. You just have to be careful cause you won't be able to get down on your knees again and get up but walking etc, you should be fine. You must be careful not to fall on your knee as it will dislodge the new knee. Make sure you have a good orthopedic doctor, board certified and all and you will be fine. I guarantee it.

I am a doctor who has experience. Usually this is not too painful, but the rehab and the first fews days of physical therapy are painful. You will be walking the day or surgery or the day after. Most of my patients wish that they had had it before. All have told me that it was worth it.
