I've been suffering for nearly 10 years with chronic Pain in both feet, legs, arms due to idiopathic periphial neuropathy. I've been to every type of doctor with NO solutions. Tested for nearly everything Amyoloidosis that my brother died from at 51, diabetes, lyme desease, etc, NO RESULTS... I had a durial stimulator installed with NO results or help. I take 3 50mgt Fentenayl patches very 48 hours, 2 to 3 8 MG Dilaudid pills every 3 hours, 2 to 3 10MG Methadone tablets every 3 to 4 hours all providing little or NO relief. I live in constant pain, can NOT sleep at night. Tried all types of other drugs like neurotin, troyosin, etc. PLEASE HELP ME!
Thank you for your advice and prompt ressponse.

Hi Stephen. I am sorry to hear about your suffering. I have a couple of thoughts/suggestions.

First, have your been properly tested for vitamin B12 deficiency? This is a common cause of peripheral neuropathy and most doctors do not know how to properly test for deficiency. Usually doctors order a serum B12 test, however this can be normal even with deficiency. The best laboratory tests for B12 status are serum Homocysteine and urinary Methylmalonic acid. So, be sure this is not an issue.

Second, I would like to suggest a powerful book by Sherry Rogers, M.D. It is called: "Pain-free in 6 Weeks". She is an expert in environmental medicine. In the book Dr. Rogers explains many, many causes of chronic pain that are not well understood (or even known) by most doctors. The book is available at Amazon.com. I highly recommend it.

Last thought, how many Chiropractic evaluations have you had? Have you ever had a neck injury (e.g. whiplash, sports injury, fall, etc.)? It is not common, but an upper cervical subluxation could cause your symptoms.

I hope this has been helpful for you. Best wishes and good luck.

I have chronic pain due to a back injury I received when I was 11 years old. I waited for about 27 years before I finally got treatment because the pain was so horrible, I could hardly walk. I have healed to where I can live a more normal life, but I generally have some type of pain in my back on a daily basis.

Haven't a clue if all those doctors can't figure it out. Have they ever tried epidural shots in your neck or back for pain relief? I think they can do that.

Not sure how long ago you posted this but I was wondering if you had any further improvement. I am in a similar situation and the pain is unbearable. Thanks
