they actually had a documentary on the greater recent helmets on television. Explaining the version the version between the army helmets and the Marine helmets. They have been arguing that the Marine helmets are not bullett evidence they're merely made to deflect a around and are not as useful through fact the kevlar style helmets the army makes use of. Supposedly theres a super distinction between the two however the army helmets are greater alongside the lines in terms of bulletproof.

Bulletproof is relative...Why weren't the Sherman Tanks in WWII bulletproof? They were, except for the heaviest and highest power bullets. Same for the helmet.

Nothing is ever bulletproof. Ask the manufacturers. They'll say it is bullet resistent. Like others have said, you would need a seriously heavy material to stop a bullet.

probably cause theyd be even heavier than they already are... which is pretty heavy. ...i dont want to walk around all day with a 25 pound helmet on my head. ...besides, they helmets they got now are pretty bullet proof, as in they will deflect shots. ...and if you think about it they really only cover like the top 4-5" of your head anyway.

To make them COMPLETELY bulletproof they would be too heavy to wear.
Try strapping a cinderblock to your head, and running around, jumping, crawling, etc, while carrying other heavy objects.
You'd have to see a spine doctor after a few hours of that, assuming you lasted that long.

They are made from Kevlar and will stop most handgun rounds. Their primary purpose it to protect you from shrapnel. Keep in mind, while it may stop a round from pentetrating. You will get your bell rung...... Still a lot better than the old steel pots.
