If you met the "second coming", would you know it? Would you think he was just a scruffy unwashed lay about.
When was the last time you went to a homeless person for spiritual advice? What would you honestly make of him in a world which is obsessed by image and "bling"? How many homeless people have you walked past and dismissed or been rude to and not thought who you could be standing next to?
I've seen a lot of "Christians" be very un-Christian.
As a Christian or an Atheist, how would you feel about him telling you things which are different from what the church teaches and would you be exhilerated or worried?

serious answers only please guys.
I know it's tempting for some of you to be rude in reply but lets go for the truth here. As many answers and as much detail as possible, please. I don't need scriptural quotes as answers. I want to know what you think and feel. I wonder who'll give the best thought out answer, Believer or Atheist? The best answer will go to the best answer but please state if you are believer or non.

Ok, sadly so many of you couldn't resist quoting scripture when I was after your thoughts not regurgitated passages. I asked this because I wanted to get you thinking. The fact is that I see many a false prophet performing "healings" and living very comfortanly for it.
It's easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than it is fo a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
....I will come as a thief in the night.
The sad part is that "Jesus" wasn't recognised for what he was by most of those around him. He was accused of witchcraft, devil worship and blasphemy.
What it really boils down to is: If you get told things you don't want to hear, would you also condemn him? Think about it seriously.

I used to be homeless before I became a Christian. I don't go to homeless people for spiritual advice but I do tell them that they can go to the Salvation Army, learn about Jesus and start a new life. I'm never rude nor dismissive to a homeless person although if they look like they want to be left alone I don't bother them.
As to how I'll know about Jesus in his second coming, if I'm alive an Angel will gather me up to be with Him in the air so I won't have a big problem with that.
Matthew 24:26 So, if they say to you, 'Look, he is in the wilderness,' do not go out. If they say, 'Look, he is in the inner rooms,' do not believe it. 27 For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 28 Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather. 29 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.

Okay, I am Wiccan but was a Christian for many years. I know you said no biblical answers, but the only way I would know it was the second coming of Christ is because he would come as the bible describes, with a shout and the clouds would be rolled back like a scroll and he would be there in the clouds. That would be pretty hard to miss. Also when he comes he will not set foot on the ground and the world will start to be destroyed. There would not be much time to ask him anything.
If he came any other way, the bible is wrong. I have met many people in my 54 years who claimed to be Jesus, but they did not meet biblical requirements. they were usually stoned also.

first off so called "christian" are snotty and rude to homeless people and that just shows that not everyone who claims to be a christian isn't one you will no by how they act a true christian would be down and talk to a homeless person
second off being a Christ the bible says that when Jesus does make a second coming he will come from the sky. 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17
15 WE tell you this directly from the
Lord:We who are still living when the Lord returns will not meet him ahead of the who have died.
16 For the lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of god. First, the Christians who have died will raise from their graves.
17 The, together with them we who are still alive and remain on earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the lord in the air. Then we will be with the lord forever.

There Will be no mistaking the return of Jesus Christ. It will be an event that all eyes will witness, including "those that pierced Him". By helping others in need many have "entertained angels unawares". Those who profess Christ as Saviour and Lord yet "walk by on the other side" by those in need will hear the words "Away from me you evil doer, I never knew you. Go out into the darkness, where there will weeping and gnashing of teeth". I am unconcerned that Jesus Christ will say that my church has taught me wrong because my church teaches the entire Bible.

Every eye will see Him....thats how we will know! Rev. 1:7
His return will be like lightning flashing across the sky. Matt.24:27
....but about the homeless....yes, if we have given them a drink of water then we have given it to Jesus. I believe angels will come in the form of men to teach us....and it may be different than what your church teaches. We need to check the Bible out for ourselves to see what God says...not just accept it from the pastor, from our parents, from the homeless, or from an angel.

Everyone will know when Jesus returns. Revelations 1:7 "Behold he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth shall gaze upon Him..."
He had already told us everything in His Bible.

You would see Jesus on a white horse in the eastern Sky and calling God's children home. The Dead in Christ ( previous passed on people) will arise first then those that are saved and Born again. I know for a fact that this will happen.

The Bible say's that we will changed into a spiritual body when Christ returns
15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all * sleep, but we shall all be changed,
15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
