If you (or have someone old enough) a bottle of red wine. Port and sherry should be good for the season. If you are more adventurous try brandy.

In terms of fashion I would keep to accessories:
Dad: thick scarf or good tie
Mum: scarf or gloves

Mom: Lotions, bath products, perfume, exercise videos, spa day

or make coupons for their mom, offering a "1 free cooked meal" that you cook yourself so she doesn't have to slave for one meal or w/e

Get your mom as new apron and some dish washing gloves. I'm sure your dad will be pleased to have his dish washer spruced up.
