i live in PA and work in a pizza shop. this shop the driver keeps all the tips he makes, and gets a % of the deliveries he takes, he only makes a few dollars on his pay check, so his tips are his paycheck, and most of the customers say they tip on how fast the driver gets there. which in some cases is not the drivers fault if hes late with the food. if the shops busy, the order doesn't get made right away so it doesn't get cold, so there fore it takes longer for the driver to get the food out. But that is how i tip almost all the time, on how fast it gets there.

I always have a tip for the pizza guy..., "beware of people who don't hand you a tip".., and then send him on his way.
Just a little Pizza humor there. In reality we don't have any pizza business that delivers around here. If they did I would think giving them a tip for timely delivery is more than fair. If they are late..., the size of the tip (if any) depends on how late he was/is.
I am also guesstimating 20% of the bill amount for timely delivery to be adequate

I always tip $5 which adds up to usually right above 20% for what we order. I live in Georgia in a suburban area. Waitresses usually get 15%, because that bill varies so much from place to place.

Pizza delivery gets $2.00 from us. Doesn't matter if there is a delivery charge. They don't get any part of that. Last night though, my friend gave the $2.00 as usual plus another 90 cents left from paying for out food. Not bad for someone that doesn't fetch drinks or take away dirty dishes

i live in arizona...
part of it depends on if there's a delivery charge and how much it is...depends on the "service", if i get my pizza in a timely manner, it's hot, they remember to bring the parmesan cheese and peppers, if they are polite...
i usually like to give a decent tip...anywhere from 15% to $5...cuz i know that they drive their own vehicle and gas is so expensive, etc....
however my husband doesn't like to give much of a tip, if any at all...especailly it there's a delivery charge

We always go and pick up our pizzas. We had too many problems with not getting what we ordered, not everything came, etc...and on top of that, they still expected a tip. So, we just ended all that, and we order then we go and pick it up.
