I met this guy who's a year older than me in one of my classes this fall. He's really cool, but also somewhat quiet. One night after a party, we were both really drunk and we went back to his room and hooked up (we didn't have sex), but we still got pretty far. He told me to visit him the next day at work and I did; we talked a lot and things seemed really good. We didn't really talk to much after that, a little bit in class or if we saw each other. Then, a couple of weeks ago, we started kissing at another party and he asked me to go back to his room with him but I told him no. I asked him why we didn't hang out sober and he told me he'd call me the next day. He didn't. Last night I saw him at a party and we talked, and I was being really touchy feely, but he didn't seem like he was that into it. He said he'd call me later that night and he didn't, but I think he might have texted me (my phone will tell me I have a text, but I can't read it or see who it's from...). What's the deal?

The first time we hooked up, we talked for part of the time. He said something about how he wanted me since he met me in class. I told him that I thought he was only hooking up with me because we were drunk. He then said that he thought I wouldn't hook up with him if I was sober. Most of our interaction has been while we've been drunk. But I'm starting to like him.
So is he playing hard to get, or is he just not that into me? And...what should I do about all of this?

I think you confused him- so he isn't sure what to do now.
Thing is - the first hook up you showed him what you were willing to do. That's what he wanted when you met up again. But, you said no. He doesn't know how to respond to that.
It's difficult to go physically backwards in a relationship- which is why it's generally a good idea to take it slow.
Maybe you could just ask him whats going on?

this same exact thing happened to me! the guy just stopped calling and didnt seem into me when i refused to go ALL the way.
hes probably not worth it, sorry. i mean, do you think hes sitting there right now, wondering if youre into him? do you think hes asking yahoo answers, why wont she have sex with me?
if you REALLY like him (and this is extreme like).. try ignoring him.. its really hard i know. but if you see him at a party, start talking to another guy. dance with other guys and girlfriends. dont make the first move. if he still wants you he'll get jealous and reclaim what he wants (this is what men do).
best of luck sweetie.. let us know how it works out.. best answer?

Forget it!! If it was him and he is really interested he will text or call again. It sounds to me he is just looking for the occasional hook up, and I admire your confronting him about hanging out sober (kudos!!). Let him pursue you, if he really is interested he will, it sounds to me however, he was looking for an easy hook up, and you are not it! Take care and stay wise!

I think he is probably alot more outgoing when he has been indulging in a little alcohol. Could be he's shy or timid about talking to you when he's sober. Doesn't mean he doesn't like you...just that he feels awkward and probably doesn't know how to approach you when he is sober.

say he is in to you he should show it I think you should back off and let him be a man but the truth is you should love yourself enough to know you deserve someone who is crazy about you and will follow thru with what he said prince charming never told snow white he would call then didnt if he is making excuses he is no good and you should look else where

Sorry, but he's not that into you. Maybe into the sex or whatever but not into you. I would leave him alone if I were you. And try to lay off the booze. He's just taking advantage of you and if you keep drinking that way, so will others.

Uhh....this is the most obvious example of a guy trying to sleep with a girl I've ever read. He wants to sleep with you----PERIOD. I don't think it could be any clearer, judging from the information you posted.

a guy who says he'll call and then doesn't is not worth your time. gosh if he's like this at the beginning...only imagine what he could be like a month down the road
