Yes. It is a well known fact that poodles don't shed. I had one for years and he never shed once. The bad thing is you have to take them to the groomers alot because their curly hair can get very matted. If you don't like the idea of having a poodle then look here,http://animal.discovery.com/breedselector/dogselectorindex.do?clik=animal_leftnav .They have a dog breed selector that tells you info about every type of dog and you can choose the best dog for you.

You can get a TOTALLY hairless dog and be allergic to it. There is NO TOTALLY shed free dog. Even humans shed hair daily, and so do ALL dogs. ALL dogs have dander too. You may be totally allergic to many Poodles, but may find one that you are not. The difference is the individual dog, not the breed.
It will be hard to find one you are not allergic to. The Guide Dog Assoc. do allergy testing on a person against several puppies in a litter. They test the person against the hair and the saliva to find a dog that the person has no reaction to. They found that the can find Labs that people are no sensitive to. That is why the Labradoodle stopped being bred for that purpose. Labs work just as well. There were still almost as many people that had a reaction to the Labradoodle.
Don't be tricked by breeders that claim you will have no reaction to their breed. This is how many puppies and dog end up in the shelters!!!

There is a small dog from china that only has hair on its head and the rest of its body is hairless. Also poodles don't shed and some people I know that have allergies have poodles. I think you should ask a Vet or your allergist for idea's. If your allergic to fur and dander why do you want a dog? I am just interest...good luck on your search...

you prefer to locate a dogs that has Hair and not Fur. there's a distinction. Your vet could have the potential to propose you. i'm drawing a sparkling suitable now on all however the Bichon. there is likewise a shampoo - it is not undemanding to locate yet you may look at petsmart and on line - it is specifically for neutralizing dander on dogs that have it. in case you do the two, she would not have a difficulty. additionally, have her talk over together with her physician and notice if he can adjust her drugs merely slightly to help besides. in case you do all 3, she could be very healthy and you have a extreme high quality dogs. permit me be attentive to once you verify on a breed and that i would be happy that may assist you detect one from a in charge breeder.

Unfortunatly, there are no hypoallergenic dogs. There are ones that don't aggrevate asthma or allergies as bad as others. Our Vet and Allergist recommended Yorkies and Bichons. My hubby has severe asthma. So we have two Yorkies. He has had no trouble. I do keep air purifiers running around their bed and all over the house. It helps to draw dander and loose hairs out of the air. Hope this helps! Good luck!

remeber that any animal you get will have fur and dander. If you're insistent on getting a dog then I would suggest a small poodle, they don't shed and have little to no dander. I would also talk to your dr about getting on some allergy medication before getting the dog, such as zyrtek or allegra.
