That is how the world treats Him, it is how it is suppose to be, people love their sinful lives so much more than they do God.

There are rules for living this life and when you break the rules, wittingly or unwittingly, individually or collectively, you pay the price.
It is as if you have broken the weakest link in a chain, or as if you have become the weakest link. In any case the chain is broken and the destruction has already begun.
Now that you have questioned the Jesus Christ chain and its weakness, you need to examine it from its roots and try to see what he would have wanted from you or what he would have liked you to do for yourself in the situation in which you have now found yourself questioning his success or failure.
You have now arrived at the stage of doubt, regardless of the good you think you can say that he has done for you, because you see a fault in the power you will like to associate with him.
A good point at which you can now turn is to check his prayer to The Only True God (John 17:3) and see if you can convert this prayer into a prayer to The Only True God for guidance to find Him and have Him lead you to know this Jesus Christ who He sent.

I think it boils down to the fact that human thought hates God and always will because as spiritual understanding is gained, human thought disappears, and human thought needs to believe in something, so it believes in itself, as if it were a god. So Christ threatens human appetites and love of sin. Many people still do not quite understand what sin is and the net effects it has on the sinner. The equation is simple., but the human race (at large) fails to understand, and so turns from Christ, to the "seeming" reward of sin, which appears to be pleasant and good to the unseasoned traveler.

What has this Jesus done for us? Aside from myths that were written thousands of years ago (myths based upon OTHER myths before it), what has this Jesus done for me?
Nothing. I not only don't believe a Jesus specific to the bible existed (there may have been someone named Jesus, but not to the extent of being the son of a god) but I don't believe in the crucifixion, the ressurection and the all of that other BS.
You may believe it through faith, but after a long thought about it, it just seems to be absolute bunk. And I don't treat him any worse than the guy down the street as I don't think about either.
If Jesus (more like god) had a plan for everyone, why bother doing anything? If there is a predestiny, why bother with free will? Your beliefs are just as convoluted as millions of others and you have no understanding of your own religion. WAY TO GO!

Maybe it's because we are near the end of the "last days".
Matthew 24:11 And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. 12 And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold.
2 Thessalonians 2:7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, 10 and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, 12 in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
2 Timothy 3:1 But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. 2 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, 4 treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.

Many Christian's are turning their backs to the 'church', not Jesus for they say that the churches are corrupt. They know they don't have to sit and listen to some cleric ramble who has probably molested some child or protecting someone who has.
People are becoming spiritual, not religious. That does not equal a rejection of Jesus, Allah or whoever else it may be.

Why have to turned your back on some of the theories in science? Your sitting here using a computer but you treat Bill Gates like he is just another guy on the street. When was the last time you invented something that has changed the world as we know it?

It's the apostasy. 2 Thess talks about how in the end times, people will turn away from the truth. We're witnessing prophecy fulfilled.

It is much easier NOT to believe than to believe. They think that if they don't believe then they have nothing to answer for in their life.To believe and follow Christ you must sacrifice some things - not something a lot of people want to do, sadly.

People are trying to not feel guilty for doing the things they know are wrong...
People want instant happiness.. and they try to get it by doing things that feel good NOW.. even if those things are not good for them in the long run...
People have always turned their back on Jesus the Christ.. it is just that we are living in times when people are able to protest and voice their opinions more freely.
Oh.. and to RoboTron... Bill Gates did not invent DOS (which started his rise to power).. he stole it from the creator of CPM.
