I have read somewhere about it... and would like to find out more about it and maybe visit one of them just to understand what happens there and what is the aim and belief of such places. Please let me know if any of you have any idea about it...

Like Christian churches, there are different Satanic groups. Some are simply Christians who choose to worship the negative side of the religion, hence Satan.
Others are groups who follow such leaders as Anton LaVey.
Most Satanists are people who urge peace and tolerance, and have a desire to fulfill their desires in a peaceful fashion.
Many Christian curches would define anything other than Christianity as Satanism. Most believe that Pagans are Satanists.

My wife was raised as a Satanist; the lineage followed a single leader from their times in Sicily. As she says "anybody who says they're a Satanist isn't really one." I'm sure that there are many followers of Satanism, Aleister Crowley believers, which just seems like Nietsche-light to me, who fit into society quite well. My wife wasn't part of that. She remembers going to Satanic sunday school, witnessed horrific crimes--it wasn't all Satanism per say, there were unregistered children, at least one was killed (we actually don't talk about it much), and she was prostituted by her father from the age of 4 to 12. She suffers from complex PTSD, and has reached a level of recovery that I'm very proud of. So, in answer to your question, I'm sure these things continue in Westchester county, but I strongly suspect they're very rare.

They don't have "churches" as in the sense you are thinking of, they're called grottoes which are meetings among members in a certain area. This website will answer all of your questions about Satanism. They're actually athiests, believe it or not.

I don't know much about satanic churches but I think they try to live life to the fullest.
Is that such a horrible thing?

In order to get that information, you have to join the church of satan (http://www.churchofsatan.com) and prove yourself to them. They do not give out any information on their grottos without membership to protect the safety of their members. They do not actually worship satan. Why are you asking this? Do you wish to become a satanist? Or are you just hoping to be able to learn more? Or maybe to preach?

I've read up on organized Satanism a little. It's not as bad as you think, they aren't drinking the blood of babies or anything.
But their faith is very selfish and amoral. Crowley was not a satanist, but most self-described Satanists would be fond of Crowley, and if you look up what he believed- it's a real lack of responsibility to anyone or anything beyond yourself.
There *may* also be some "real" Satanists, really *bad* ones, in very high positions in business and government- having underground orgies, abusing children, sacrificing animals, and plotting world domination.
But you are definitely not invited to their meetings.
And laVey was just a harmless weirdo- he didn't take himself half as seriously as most of his followers do.
