I recently moved away from home to transfer to college(i went to community college for two years) but suddenly today i feel really depressed about how much things have changed. I think about how great things were a year ago, i compare it to now and all i see is myself alone in some strange town. I had a great girl friend, a great job, great friends, a great school and now it feels like that is all gone. What can i do? Is this normal?

Yeah, I think it's normal...you're just adjusting. I've moved 7 times so I know what you're going through and my last recent move was to college as well. I'm only 40 minutes from home but I don't visit every weekend. Surround yourself with pictures and call up the people you really want to talk to. Meet some people at your school to keep your mind off of how things have changed. Just give it time and everything will work out for the best! Good luck! :)

totally normal. You gave up a lot more than I did. Did you and your girlfriend break up on bad terms or else you guys should still communicate. Just stay open to the idea of being someplace new and making it into a great experience. Meet new people and let yourself be changed. Really give it some time and keep busy.

i be attentive to this would possibly not help yet all the controversy of injuries as a random and unavoidable concern is shallow. Normal and understood. You are growing up and homesick. Sometimes it stinks. My daughter had this for her 1st 2 years away. Just his year she's getting into it. Get involved in activities on campus, join clubs, intermurals, visit the campus gym or pool. Get out and mingle, call home if you need, but relax, you are there to do a job. Learn and have fun. And some good chocolate wouldn't hurt you.

It's okay to be feeling the way you are - it's all a part of growing up and beginning your own life. You'll find that as the days and weeks go by, it will get easier and easier for you to enjoy your present life instead of frequently looking back at how things used to be. By the way --- welcome to adulthood! God bless!!!

I have had a similar situation, however if this becomes a big problem you may want to rule out all possibilities.
