The BEST way to cook this is to get an inexpensive charcoal grill. Get the coals nice and hot. Now throw on a whole bunch of those shaved hickory or mesquite wood chips that have been soaked for a half hour or so in water. These should start smoking ALOT. If they are not, then your coals are not hot enough or you didn't use enough wood (or you didn't soak them). As soon as they start smoking, throw the meat on the grill. Place the meat relatively high up and cover the grill (so the smoke accumulates inside).

If your using coals, ring the outside, gas grill Miltie burner, Teri tip off to the side, turn several times, it'll take about 30 minutes depending on how thick it is. Instant read thermometer to 145 in the middle for rare in the middle and medium on out

I marinate it in Italian dressing for at lesast 3 hours (overnight is ok)
The I cook over medium hot coals until done.
At the last stage of grilling you can baste with any sauce you like.
