Did you mean 2 pounds a week? To loose 2 pounds in a week just drink 8oz of water before with and after each meal. But if you are talking about losing 2 pounds a week for a specific time period that is possible. I am on a "No Diet" (meaning no skipped meals or no special foods to eat or buy) weight loss plan. It takes about 15 minutes a day to use this plan. I have lost on average 1/2 to 3/4 of a pound nearly everyday since I have started this plan and I have not exercised

If you don't already run you will.
You can lose 2 pounds by eating and drinking extremely light for a day alone. I wouldn't recommend this unless you're in a sport where definitely work.a certain weight is demanded. (And health first).
The reason is water weight. We hold a few pounds of water in our bodies at all times. Just dieting for a couple days cit should an make you lose a couple pounds of water weight. I'm not saying do that, I'm just saying if you have to be 2 pounds lighter make sure you're not holding a lot of water.
If you're already dieting you might already be without the water weight. If you're running too you might not be able to lose anymore weight.
But whatever happens, I think if you're going to do those things, and you don't normally do at least 1 of them, then you'll lose 2 pounds at least. Your weight depends on how much you'll lose. Are you very very skinny and muscular? ... that would make it harder. If you're already normal weight it should work fine. And if you're overweight you'd probably lose 5.

This is the most sensible diet question I have seen here.
1. Running a mile burns approx 100 calories.
1 lb of body fat approx 3000 calories so 1600 calories approx 0.5 lbs. the good news is this would be permanant weight loss. You could easily lose 2lbs of water etc in a week but if you start and keep running you will have much better long term results esp if you continue to eat healthy

hOnetstLY??? i think you need to run a bit more. not that im saying 8 miles a week is bad its just that you should do an hour a day . so maybe try to run on wed & sun too. also you could add muscle training..
but you could probably still do it if you really eat healthy.
btw, im not sayinf this because i want best answer (i had others in mind) but scorpio girl didnt put any effort in her answer FYI cause she has the same thing on some other answers,

yeah, you can. the way you lose weight, is eating less calories than you burn off. so if u arent eating many calories, and you are burning more, than you can easily lose 2 pounds.
also, be aware that you weigh different amounts throughout the day. in the morning, you will probably weigh less than in the afternoon or evening. so, to make it more accurate, you might want to weigh yourself at the same time on each different day. a good choice would probably be when you first wake up. also, when you weigh yourself with clothes on, you weigh more than if you arent wearing clothes. This difference is different depending on the type of clothes, and amount of clothes you are wearing. I recommend weighing yourself w/ just a bra and underwear on, or completely naked, because it will be more accurate.
hope this helps, and good luck!!

You could lose a pound of fat per day if you're really determined. I run 15+ miles a week and do Tae Bo and ab workouts. It's very important that you realize this is something you're going to have to stick to and really get into it if you're looking for results.
Ever heard the line 'no pain no gain?' Well that's the truth. Working out isn't something to slack off on. You're going to have to get sweaty and sore and it takes a lot of work - so don't get your hopes up and expect results within a few days. Sure, you can lose a pound a day when you cut back on the junk you put into your body, but remember that fat weighs less than muscle, so losing a pound of fat won't be very noticeable.
Normally the number of calories the body needs is about 1,400+ but below 2,000 depending on your size and how active you are. When you start this workout routine remember to eat 400 less calories than you would normally eat.
Try running at least two miles a day if you're in good condition. You should have your heartrate at a high level for at least 45 minutes. The first 15 minutes you are working out, your body is using the food that you've ingested that day for energy. Once that food is used up (after about 25 minutes) your body starts to use your stored fat for energy. So it's very very important to have a good cardiovascular workout. If you have problems with shin splints or any other pain when you first start running, take time off from that and try Tae-Bo. It's totally fun, I'm sure you've heard of it. It's a mixture of boxing and dance, and it's definately a calorie burner.
Muscle weighs more than fat, as I've mentioned above. You might not lose double digits in pounds, but I will gurantee that you'll drop pant sizes and you'll have a more toned body.
I started running about a year ago. At first I had really bad shin splints but I kept at it because I love working out. I weighed 140 pounds and I was five four!! Lol, so yeah. It was terrible. Running was hard at first, but I remembered what my goal was and I had to keep pushing at it. I wanted to have a more toned body and I wanted to feel good about myself. At any rate, I have lost 15 pounds of fat - but keep in mind I have replaced that with muscle, so I'm at a healthy weight of about 125 pounds. I still weigh more than I'd like to think I do, but I'm healthy - and remember - - muscle weighs more than fat - so standing on the scale and looking at the numbers won't do you too much good. I've dropped pant sizes and I feel really good about myself. I work out at least five days a week and I basically eat what I want, but I skip the candy and fast foods (I only have fast food once every few weeks). Make sure you eat lean meats like chicken and pork. Fruits are always a major plus, and they taste good. Try making a fruit smoothie for lunch or something. Always eat at least two big meals a day. I eat breakfast, lunch, and try to have a smaller dinner. Don't worry about people telling you not to eat past 7:00PM at night - it's bogus. It might not be healthy, but you can burn off the excess calories the next day :)
It might be discouraging at first, but remember what your goal is. Have a set schedule of the time of day you're going to go to the gym or begin your workout and STICK TO IT.
On days that you don't run - stick in a Tae-Bo video, or get The Firm 5 Day Abs video. They both work great, and I love them.
I find that when I listen to music that it keeps my mind off the pain and how tired I'm getting. It really helps me keep the determination. You can try using energy drinks at first - I drink the Monster ones (the blue one because it's low carb).
You'll see results within a few weeks, but keep at it and don't give up. If you need anymore information, feel free to contact me.
