My man, either she doesn't have faith in her ability to be in a relationship, she's holding out for something else, or she doesn't know what the heck she wants.

1) She likes you as a friend, you have fun together, she doesn't want to risk that by having a relationship with you because she thinks it would end in disaster and you would not be friends any longer...

2) ...or he wants to keep you around in case she doesn't get the guy she really wants, she can use you as a backup....

3) ...or she's a ditzy-brained bird who can't figure out what the heck she wants.

Any way this is playing out, the girl has some stuff to work out and you'd do well not to hang your heart on her, so move on, find someone else and don't let yourself get hurt!

she doesnt want things to get too complacated.

if you guys went out you both would just get expectations from each other [like naturally holding hands, opening doors, calling each other on the phone]

she just wants things to be fun and carefree with you.

this means that she either cares about you a lot and enjoys the time so much that you have together and doesnt wanna hang it.

or

she just likes you as a friend and doesnt wanna hurt your feelings.

im almost positive its the first one, but some girls are more complex than others.

good luck though, sorry i couldnt help you more.
talk to her friends and see whats up.

You have to accept what this girl has told you, that she only wants to be friends and that she enjoys your company because you have a laugh together, what can be plainer than that. I do not know if you thought it was more than that but you cannot do anything about it. You have two choices either move on or wait for crumbs sorry to be so blunt but she does not want you as a lover but as a friend. Good luck.

Well it sounds like to me at one instance she doesnt want the friendship ruined if you guys dont work out.On the other hand she sounds like she is working on it within herself what she wants to do with you alls relationship.Be patient and give her time she will come to a conclusion soon enough.May not be what you want but it may be for the best.
Goodluck

I suppose that what she's trying to say is that if you did start dating, and it ended with you two breaking up, then she would find it awkward to still be friends.

On the other hand, she may be saying that she is not attracted to you in a romantic manner, and instead of hurting your feelings, she simply says she just wants to be friends.

My advice to you . . . stay friends, if you want to, with this current gal, but move on to another gal if you want a romantic relationship.

Not easy, but best for you in the long run. Good luck to you.

She likes you, likes your company, likes flirting, but isn't ready to be in a relationship. Keep being friends with her as you never know she may be ready soon. In the meantime, if someone else comes along, go for it. Maybe that would make her realise how much she actually wants you...

I think it means that she likes you, but she doesn't want to risk losing you. A lot of relationships are never fixed after a break up.
