my teacher is expecting us to run a mile outside. while it is around 20 to 30degrees outside. and while me and my class are in a t-shirt and shorts. He never said a word to us about this. i heard that we would run the mile from my friend. my friend said it was on the morning anocements. (but almost no one listens to the anoncements). I know i should of listen but still in november 20degree weather.Do u think it is fair that he is doing this to us. when we could of ran it in october when it was 60degrees outside!

I dont know why gym teachers do these kind of things..I think its on purpose when the weather is nice they will run you inside and when its cold they run you outside and Ill bet they had a coat on to..am I right....I think that sucks and I dont think its right at all..

I think some parents should be making phone calls to the school. a mile outside even if you are dressed for it in 20-30 degree weather is questionable, unless you have something to cover your face, the cold air in the lungs could hurt, but to run in shorts in a t shirt is out of the question. Maybe one should listen to announcements there are given for a reason

Wow, your life must be easy. I run quite a bit, and I would LOVE to run in 30 degrees instead of 90 degress with 90% humidity. It won't hurt you one little bit. Take it as a challenge and show how tough you are.

suck it up and quit being such a wussy....life is hard, get over it.

past fair....be happy he isn't making you do push ups in the snow. if you run fast enough you'll stay warm. plus cold air holds more oxygen per square inch than warm so you'll actually run better as more oxygen will get into your lungs and into your blood.

I would ask him if you can wear sweatpants at least. You should be able to exercise all year, but you need to have appropriate clothing.
