I am not against Mexican Culture (at least the pleasant aspects of it), nor am I against Immigrants in General (to be against both without a legit reason is just stupid and idiotic).
But I am suspicious of any organization, no matter how "legitimate" or popular that caters primarily or absolutely to just ONE ethnic group. Even if it had good intentions in the beginning it will eventually and inevitably (like all things human) corrupt and decay into something not to anyone's liking. Groups like La Raza are far too vulnerable to racism (both against and for hispanics) to remain effective or safe for long.
If you like La Raza... not really my concern, but hopefully your support is not based on blind obedience.

No I'm not against Mexicans but appease me if you will and by no means take this as a racial slander(keep an open mind) I am white and married to a Mexican and I see this as an elitist organization since it is allowed to exist in good standing with the public(out in the open) I view it as the way people view the KKK for white people, just like it drives me crazy when I see a brown pride sticker on the back window of a car,if I put a white pride or a white power sticker on my vehicle what do you think the world would think of that..thats how I feel about it thanks for seeing it from my point of view with an open mind...luego'

La Raza is a racist organization.
The founder of La Raza said this,
QUOTE:
"We have an aging white America ... They are dying ...We have got to eliminate the gringo, and what I mean by that is if the worst comes to the worst, we have got to kill him." Jose Angel Gutierrez, professor, University of Texas, Arlington and founder of the La Raza Unida political party."

The National Council of La Raza is a legitimate organization sort of like the NAACP. They are supported by intelligent, important people like Governor Arnold Schwarnegger and Bill Clinton. People are just so threatened by them.
