Translated from Arabic, it means "Peace be upon him" or something to that effect.

As-Salaam wa Aleikum means, "Peace be upon you." Or rather, "The peace of God be upon you." If you just take the initials, there's an "S" and "A" and a "W" in that phrase, so you can kind of see where it comes from.

Sorry, that's the best I can do since I don't speak Arabic, but you get the picture?

If you are asking about something from the bible about Mohamed, I'm sorry there is nothing in the King James Version
about him. But you might want to consult a Strong's Concordance and check a Hebrew or Greek dictionary for the word SAW.

Peace of Allah be upon him, that is, upon the prophet.

You may sometimes see (pbuh), peace be upon him and that is without Allah, but one of the attributes of Allah is The Peace.

You also hear the Arabic form of it repeatedly when the speaker mentions the prophet or Muhammad (salallahu alaihewasalaam).
