Is there a place that will come get a used couch to either donate or recycle? I live in CT?

Goodwill doesn't come pick up in my area, but it's worth a call. There are several other charity groups that might come to you. Or, you can try "FreeCycle"

Most garbage collectors will charge an additional $10-15 for large items. when we couldn't get rid of our couch, we cut it up ourselves, and burned what we could. It was really fun.

Freecycle is big here in CT.
