It is like they receive the Holy Spirit and it is the special talk between the person and God. They do not know exactly what it is, and sometimes need someone else to do the interpretation. It is usually when praying and the Holy Spirit comes to you and you are in a peaceful place with God. Not many people experience this, it is not something that is commonly done, but you usually hear it from a totally religious person. I have only heard it once, but it is often too, done in quiet, and not necessarily loud. It is usually the Pentecostal church, but the Four Square church also has it as they are Pentecostal as well. When you have praise and worship, this is when you praise God, and pray, it is usually the time when this can happen. It is something that just happens when in deep prayer, the people themselves may not even realize this is happening, but later say they were in a peaceful place, and feeling the love of God. I wish I could do this, maybe one day. It sounds like a babbling, but a lot of people that have done this, do sound alike, so it is a special type of talk when the Holy Spirit comes to you.

Biblicially it is one of the gifts of the holy spirit in the bible. It can be speaking in tongues of angels (like a kind of prayer language where the spirit intercedes when you don't know what to pray) and there is also speaking in tongues that involves speaking in languages that have not been learnt by the speaker - as in the Book of Acts at Pentecost.

It means speaking in another klanguage. It can occure in two ways: As a gift of the spirit in a church service, than, by God's word, it is required that another person will tranlate it or in private prayer, than it's understood as "speaking misteries tod God". You will find moore information about it in the New Testament. 1. Corinthians (letter of the Apostle Paul to the christians in Corinth), chapter 12 -14.

there is conversing in tongues as a private prayer language between the believer and God and then there is the present of Tongues and Interpretation that's to be exercised in a worship service. The speaker will provide a message in a language that they have got in no way spoken previously and the two they or yet another in the service will interpret it. that's meant for the edification of the church and the former is meant for the edification of the guy themselves besides as the two glorifying God.

when someone says that you are speaking in tongues, it means that you are speaking in a different language. It may also mean that they don't understand you.
