I make pumpkin muffins and it uses allspice along with cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. I ran out of allspice and I put in more of all three. It came out pretty well. I think that you could probably use "pumpkin pie spice" if you had it, also. If i knew what you were cooking I could maybe help more.

allspice tastes like what it sounds like - all the spices! think about pumpkin pie flavors - ginger, cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg. a combination of these should do the trick

I usually use cinnamon. If you have nutmeg split the difference in measurements but usually if you have all the spices in individual containers for nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves etc just use them all and so not to over do it, as I said previously split the difference in your measurements.

just use Cinnamon becuse there isnt a sub for allspice. its used in pumpkin and apple pies and apple cakes.go ahead and run to the store.
