i did an experiment on if certain gums make ur mouth cold and i got my results. the one that made my mouth the coolest had more sugar. how does the sugar make ur breath colder? is there any connection?

it was probably some type of mint which did the cooling but required more sugar to make it taste good.

The "coldness" you are experiencing is usually the menthol flavour. Menthol can be very bitter, so I would assume they use more sugar to make the taste more palatable.

Its the menthol of the sweet, not the sugar.
