If we are saved by faith alone, then it's greater than love, because salvation is the greatest thing we can achieve, right? (I'm not saying we can "earn" our salvation.)
But wait, 1 Cor 13:13 says that love is greater than faith. If salvation is the greatest thing we can achieve, and we are saved by faith alone, shouldn’t faith be the greatest?
1 Cor 13:13 "So faith, hope, and love remain, these three, but the greatest of these is LOVE." (emphasis mine.)

Love will always remain for ever and ever...but faith and hope will not be required any more in the Kingdom of God on earth after great day of God the Almighty.
Your comments are a little mix up, saying this and that...but finally stating or emphasizing at 1 Cor. 13:13 the correct
answer.

If you truly love something, then you have faith in it also. Love is the greatest, because without love, how can you have faith or hope. To love God and Jesus Christ then you believe in them or have faith in them and you have the hope that you will be worthy enough to enter Their presence again.
Actually, the scripture you quoted, in the King James Version of the Bible,
1 Corinthians 13:13 says:
And now abideth faith, hope, CHARITY, these three; but the greatest of these is
CHARITY. (emphasis mine)
Paul extols the high status of charity--Charity, a pure love, excels and exceeds almost all else.
If you are going to quote something, make sure you quote it correctly.

Faith creates the condition where it is easier to love. When you love a person, thing or an idea, you must have at least a little bit of faith, faith is a way of trusting someone, you can not truly love someone with out trust.

People may have or not have faith. That is a gift. But loving god & loving your neighbor will get you to the Kingdom of Heaven.
So the answer is NO! Faith is not greater than Love.
Many people have faith in many different things.
But Love is Universal! It transcends relligions.

Given the example of Christ...greater LOVE hath no other man than he who would lay his life down for his friends. Yes the greatestis love but you can only come to faith through love and respect for the sacrifice given for you. I would not have faith in someone I did not love.

Sounds that way doesn't.. But think, why did God offer salvation to mankind.. Maybe because of His love for us. And when we trust Christ, I don't know about you but I knew I loved Him.. Can we have faith in Christ without loving Him? I don't think that's possible.... Jim

I would say yes. Faith is better then love. Because love can have its ups and down. Thats when Faith steps in and reasures us that everything will be alright.
Esphesians 3:16-19
I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in you inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.And I pray that you,being rooted and established in love may have power.......
