My grandma is 97 years old. This morning she was talking about a 10 year old little boy in her room. I am scared that she might be seeing Death. Do you think she is going to die soon?
Also this wasn't the only time she has talked about seeing something in her room. I was in her room and she asked me if she saw that big black thing flying around. I was kind of scared.
What do you think?

She is senile either because of a real mental illness or just because of her old age.

Yes, her time to leave is coming near with the way you describe her.

The cause of these hallucinations could also be any medications she may be on right now, since side effects from the meds are more prevalent among the elderly than people of other ages.

I think she's simply hallucinating. Call her doctor is he/she doesn't already know about it. I'm sure there is some medication she can take for it. I don't think it's death. It might even be a side affect to a medication shes already taking. Check the medicine bottles/boxes. I can assume she has less than 10 years of her life left, but she must be fairly healthy to live to this age. Before you leave the house always hug her and kiss her and tell her you love her. My grandpa died when I was 3 from cancer, that's the best out of the two memories I have with him. We hugged and kissed as I sat with him in the hospital bed. Best of luck. I'm sure she'll be fine.
