This is going to be hard to take, but I mean it to help you understnd where your parents are coming from. You didn't mention how much you pay for rent, but I am going to assume that it's a lot less than if you rented a small place and had a roomate. Remember you'd then have to pay for water, gas and electricity and
you'd still need furniture and a phone. Plus you'd still need to buy food. Your parents are probably just trying to make you more responsible and to realize, at an early age, that maybe, just maybe, you need more education so that you can get a better job. I don't think they'd really allow you to starve. If you have no money left over for any food. Truthfully a food bank will and should help you. If you have a little left over. Then eat old fashioned oatmeal with sugar sprinkled on it for breakfast. The oatmeal is inexpensive, high in fiber, and good for you, Also, you will not be hungry until lunch.
If you live near a day old bread thrift store, then buy your bread there. The bread is still perfectly good. It's just that the bakeries have to take it off the big grocery stores shelves if it's past a certain date. If you don't live near one then just go once a month to one, buy enough and put it in your parent's freezer. I can't imagine that your parent's would eat your groceries. These types of stores sell much, much more than loaf bread so you can really stock up spending as little as a dollar for 4 items. You can also have eggs and toast in the morning for pennies. All you need is eggs, bread and butter. Add a little mayo to hard-boiled eggs and put on bread and you have egg salad sandwiches. Along with the bread, buy or get peanut butter and jelly from the food pantry for a late night snack with bread. Bananas are cheap and always on sale. Look at the local grocery and always shop the sales. Tuna fish is a almost always on sale. Buying a pre-roasted chicken in a grocery store is also a good idea as it will probably last you for three or four meals just add some canned vegetables. Think of it this way, just what would you do if you didn't have your parents. Be resourceful and creative. And enjoy the experience!

Well, you probably get a good deal on your rent, and if you lived anywhere else food would not come with your lodgeing. Now if that job does not allow you to buy food then, one of three things can be done.
1. Get a second job at a restaurant. At some you can eat for free ant some your food is 1/2 price.
2. Get a full time job as a server (try a hotel restaurant) they make good money.
3. Move out and get a room mate.

well when you do eat make sure it is of high fiber and good food that will help keep you feeling full longer...
also ask them to provide a little more food in the house for you...
and try to get yourself into a much better paying job so you can get your own stuff...do not quit this job until you already actually have the other job...
maybe get a locking cabinet for your bed room and put your food stash in there...and keep it locked...plus keep some food in your car too...sorry, but hey life is life and it is tough out there..so lock it up in your room.....
try going to places that offer all you can eat..this way you can eat ALL YOU WANT...
good luck

I believe getting rid of your car, insurance and gas will enable you to be able to buy food.
A car is a luxury that you don't need. Take public transit if you can. Or get a cheaper place to rent. There should be many ways you can save money even if you earn little.
This is a difficult question to answer as we don't know what you earn nor what your spendging habits are.

Go to your local food pantry. They should be of some help to you. They also have Ramen noodles that's a dime a bag. Stock up, they are pretty tasty. Get some peanut butter and crackers OR tuna fish. They go good on crackers too. Grilled cheese sandwiches are good too. Look for sales.

You should buy cheap vegetables and meats in bulk, like a lot of chicken breasts, and portion them out and freeze them and as for the veggies, munch on them and keep them in the veggie bins in the fridge so they last about a week: but hopefully you will eat them by then! Veggies and Lean Meats fill you up a lot more than junk!

Ramen noodles are very cheap & filling. Buy a case of them, and eat 2 pkgs when you are hungry!
Pasta is cheap, too- a 2 pound box of spaghetti is maybe a buck, and so is a can of sauce. You could eat 3 meals from that!
Or try the wendy's or mcd's dollar menus....but thats TEN packs of ramen noodles!
What the hell do THEY eat????
