Obsessive is another name for controlling and it needs to be sorted now or long term it can bring you down so much mentally.Please be confident in who you are it is one of the most important things you need to take you through life and you deserve good things and hapiness. I dont know what things you are calling obsessive but think to yourself would you do it to someone else? If you are scared to talk to him for any physical attack do not talk to him alone about this ,the number one thing here is your safety physically and mentally. If he cares about you so much he will go to counselling with you admit there is a problem and do something about it....good luck

when someone is obsessive over you there is only two reason, one is lust (which normally is) or when they like you who you are not what you are (sometimes its what we call 'dream girl' or 'perfect girl')
if its the first than you don have to worry about anything, but if its the second one than its pretty hard to shake off. for the second one i think you should tell him what you think of him, but don say stuff that would make him think that he will have any chance of being with you (unless you like him as well, then you are a lucky girl cos they will love you loads and will do anything to make you happy)
it would be a torture to the guy if you don tell him anything cos he will start think about loads of stuff and one word for that is they will go nuts. its like mental pain (if you see what i mean)
generally i think you should talk to him, honestly there is no better way than to talk to him bout it.
