whatt are some good tips that have helped you or someone you know convinve your parent/legal gaurdian to let you adopt a dog?
i found one i like but im not sure how to convince my mom (beggig didnt work)

I have always had critters, my mother always had critters so my kids always had critters.
I would never not have critters, but can see why peeps do not want them though....
Critters take a lot of time and care. Maybe your guardian or parent feels you are not responsible enough yet?
Write down all the things you do on a daily bases. You clean your room? Do the dishes? Make your argument based on facts. Do not whine and such this is just a sign of immaturity.
Christmas is coming, only ask for the puppy or dog you want. Do not ask for toys....offer to sell your favorite toy for this dog, this would let your parent or other no how much you want this critter...Offer your allowance or other source of money to help care for your critter.....

Well to have you look at one point why or why not your mom might not want to adopt a dog, when you adopt a dog depending on if its full grown or just a pup, there are alot of things to consider the dog may have been givin away because of house hold behaivor most dogs tend to chew on couches and clothes and take stuff out of the house into the yard and chew up or they have become to violent towards others. but if you still want to adopt and try and convince mom into letting you adopt the dog let her know that you will feed and water the dog every day and let her know that you will help her out doing whatever she needs done also {thats always been the best thing for me if i wanted anything} also tell her that you want a little responsibility in your life and taking care of a dog might help you to achieve what you are looking for. Begging won't work, it will only make them more strong on not getting on. How old are you? Do you have a job? Try keeping your room cleaned and stuff picked up w/o her asking you to. Also try doing extra chores around the house w/o being asked. If you are old enough to have a job and they will let you. Get a job, but make sure you keep your grades up. And save most of your money so that when they do say yes, you won't turn around and beg them to pay for it for you. The more responsible you show them you are the more convinced they will be to think you are capable of taking care of it.

Make a deal with your mom. Ask her if you can get a dog if your spelling improves.

work in the house everyday and earn the pup... (ask if that will work) help mom get stuff done that SHE needs done ... even after you get the dog.

Tell her that if she does not let you get the dog you will get yourself pregnant.
Don't forget to buy a leash and toys.
