First of all I want to say I am sorry for the loss of your father, It is always very difficult to lose someone so dear to us.
I would like to share with you this really amazing experience I had a few years ago. I awoke from my sleep, and from the early morning light in the bedroom I could tell it was about 4:30 in the morning. I remember seeing the bedroom door and the dresser from where I was laying in my bed, my bf was sleeping beside me, I could hear him breathing.
Then all of a sudden this man's form gradually appeared beside my bed! I remember being a little frightened at first, but at the same time feeling rather strange and ab it curious, I remember looking at his face and noticed that his eyes were black and piercing, he looked a little curious himself but I would not say he looked happy or friendly, he was just staring right at me. I noticed that he was wearing a checkered shirt, and that he seemed like a big man.
It was within a few seconds that we were just staring intently at each other, when I ever so slightly tried to nudge my bf to wake him up.....the split second that I did that I noticed that this apparition's eyes darted over to my sleeping bf, he than quickly drizzled away right before my very eyes!
I woke up my bf and jumped up and turned the lights on. I explained everything that had just happened in detail.
He said it may have been the man that had just died a year before of cancer, and that he lived in the suite below. (it was a 3 level house that was a rental, and he was the owner that lived on the main level with his wife).
This has never happened to me again, I have never been visited by this person since than.
I believe that your father knows how much you love him and that he watches over you like an Angel. I believe that our loved ones that go before us just know how much we loved and cared for them.
As to your question "is it possible to make contact with the dead"? I suppose it is possible, but I would be very careful, because I have also been taught that while trying to make contact you can also open up the channels for bad spirits to enter into your life as well.
Take care and remember God comforts those that mourn, and that he is always there for you all you have to do is call on him.
God bless you and your family

Claire Hello,
I think the practise of contacting the dead is a practise which although people think they are dead people, are in fact other sorts of spirits. I don't think these spirits come from God because the bible tells us we are not to contact the dead. It is expressly forbidden.
I also think that people at a low ebb are taken advantage of by people out to make money out of vulnerable people who MISS THEIR DEAD RELATIVES SOOOO MUCH they are willing to do or pay anything to get peace.
Claire I suggest you write your dad a really long letter saying how much you loved him and miss him, in what ever way you want to express this. You may want to express it in Art and drawing. And then say a little prayer and ask Jesus to help you carry on from day to day.
I know when a person dies that you love so much it's like a weight on your back that no one else seems to understand. Time will help you know.xx
Please don't get mixed up in these occult practises. In my experience with friends and family and my self, it only leads to confusion and disappointment.

You poor thing. Unfortunately I never tell my parents either. They're not like that and would think I was nuts if I told them that. It makes you think. Thing is I bet he knew anyway. You don't need someone to tell you they love you to know that they do. I bet any money he knew. Don't beat yourself up about it I mean if he died suddenly how would you know to say Goodbye? I don't believe in life after death so I can't lie - but then thats just my opinion no one knows for sure. I hope you feel better soon xx

I'm sorry to hear of your loss - my condolences.
Yes, I do believe it is possible for the living to be heard and to hear from 'the other side' but you must be careful of all the so called mediums as many of them are just in it for the money and are not real. Try not to worry too much about not saying goodbye to your Dad. He will know now how much you love him and as for saying goodbye, well, just say it now if you need to as he will hear you. I believe our loved ones stay around us and protect us and if you want to talk to him then go ahead! I'm sure your Dad will enjoy hearing from you. Good luck and take care.

I am sorry for your loss and I really think your father already knows that you loved him. I personally believe when someone passes on that has children left behind, their spirit tends to linger until the child is of a certain age or maybe they never go away. My grandfather died when I was 9. The very week that he died I was terribly sick with pneumonia and my parents didn't tell me he had past. My mom left and made the trip back to her home town. That night that she left I saw my grandfather at the foot of my bed, he sat down and patted my feet and told me that I was going to be ok. Now, 29 years later I am struggling to get my life back after a nasty marriage and divorce. I found someone that I am compatible with but am still afraid that my world will come crashing down again. My grandfather came to me again...sat at the end of my bed, patted my feet and told me everything was going to be alright, then he said "right here". Then he just vanished. I sware on my life I was wide awake! My grandfather knew that we grand kids all loved him even though it was never said. So Sweetheart, your father knows! God bless!

First of all, I want to say I am so sorry! Death is so hard when the time is right, let alone when it's suddenly like you said. I do not believe in things like you are asking, but I do believe in Christ and I know that Thur him all things are possible. I feel if you cry out to God and ask him questions from your heart and seek answers Thur him, you will find peace and contentment. Once again, accept my sympathy and may God guide you through this difficult time!

Claire, Im sure they know what you wanted to say. There are lots of beliefs about this, some people believe there are people that have a gift to speak to souls who havnt passed over. Others believe that these 'souls' are actually demons and not really the soul of the person you love, and that the real souls are in another place where we cannot contact them. I believe either way, there ARE people who can commune with spirits from another world, what Im not clear on is who these souls are, whether they are the loved ones, or the others... Hope this helped. xx

yes i do, when i was 15 (im 23 now), myself, my best friend and her mother did one of those board things (i dont know how to spell it), and the glass moved everywhere, you have to do it properly and to be quite honest i would never do it again and i wouldnt advise anyone to, because it works and its scary, i asked questions that no one in the room knew the answer to, and the spirit ( which was apperently a family, i say that because i suppose i could be anyone, who is dead) got all the answers right, very spooky!
you might or should just find comfort in the fact they are at peace now, and are watching down on you!

Yes, if you open your heart and either write him a letter or poem , or a song and express yourself. He knew that you loved him very much. I'm sure that there are ways you can find to express your love for him all during your life.
