No they aren't: immediate family means the parents and their children. So in your case, your parents and your siblings are your immediate family. Anything other than is called your "extended family", cousins included. Anyone married into your family are your "in-laws" or your "relatives (ex.: cousin) by marriage".

Immediate family is really just your parents and siblings but if you are wanting to know this because you want to get with your cousin then just say no.

I would like to think so, first and second cousins maybe, I consider my first and second cousins as immediate family.

No. Your parents, and brothers and sisters are your immediate family if you live with them. If you have children and/or a spouse, they are your immediate family.

no cousins are not legally considered immediate family only mom dad brother sister. all others are considered extended family.
