i am trying to get my BT total broadband talk working. i have a usb phone and a normal house phone. i no that the normal house phone, plugged up to my bt broadband hub, gives me free phone calls.
so i am wondering if i put my usb phone in the spare usb socket on the hub will i get the same?

No, you need to plug the USB phone into your PC and use some software on your PC. BT Softphone is as good as any - if you have BT Broadband Talk already, you'll get the same inclusive calls package on softphone. You just need to log in to your Broadband Talk account and choose a username to use the software. Good luck!

No it wont, the Broadband Talk is only designed to work with PSTN (normal)Telephones.

If you are wanting more than one telephone on the Talk system why not plug in a cordless phone base unit with multiple handsets.

BT has software called softphone, this should allow you to use the PC to make calls via your BBtalk account. I'd guess you could use the USB handset then.

This also allows BBtalk customers to sent text messages via the PC.

Did you not get the cd, with the hub? by ability of cordless telephone do you advise certainly cordless/ or one which drops right into a holder/charger?if the latter you're able to desire to connect with the hub, and then sign up with your new variety beging with 50, go on your router supervisor, click on bt confer with do it, you would be better of going back to the cd, and struggle by way of all of it back
