Could be Kennel Cough, which he would get a shot for or he could has asthma. I would take him too the vet. I'm pretty sure neither would cost too much $$$$. Just the same, if you coughed as long as he has would you go to the doctor? I simply do this with myself, and if I'd answer yes, off to the vet we go.

Coughing could be signs of the obvious "Kennel Cough" and can also be a symptom of heartworms. If you dog is not up to date on shots and heartworm preventative..... get him to the vet first thing in the morning!

Take your dog to the vet. It is always better to be safe than sorry. It could be something very simple, but this way you would know for sure.

A FEW THINGS, IT COULD BE 'PUPPY COUGH' OR KENNEL COUGH, IT SOUNDS LIKE AN INVERTED SNEEZE WHICH HAPPENS TO MOST DOGS. TOO, IT COULD BE SOMETHING AS SIMPLE AS SOMETHING IN THE AIR - THEY ARE REALLY SENSITVE TO ALL CHEMICALS AND SMELLS, SO ANYTHING IN THE CARPET, ROOM SPRAYS ETC. TRY CLEANING REALLY WELL AND SEE HOW HE/SHE REACTS TOO - WORST CASE - TAKE THE PUP TO THE VET, THEY'RE THE BEST RESOURCE - EXPENSIVE AT TIMES BUT ALL WORTH IT WHEN YOU SEE THOSE 'LIL EYES.
