...they were wrong they die and nothing happens.
On the other what if the Atheist is wrong.
Better yet what if everyone's wrong? What if we are just a bunch of passionate misguided souls that dont have a clue. Hey is that new John Legend CD any good?

Christianity was like a kind of gift package where good marketing advertisements have been successfully launched from the very start. It became a household name that no matter what the competitions are, they are still the brand oftenly expressed. Try going to some third world countries and ask for help to buy you a "colgate"( without mentioning the word toothpaste), you will notice that few of them will still ask "What brand, sir?"
Your question about being wrong for both may happen because both of them have each a right claim but none of them have the whole thing to be right. We have the clue alright but we do not have the right answer. Just like our brain, truth may lie in the very thin dividing line between normality and abnormality.

Chanie - I am a Protestant Christian and I believe it is ok to dance, see rated R movies, drink in moderation (I believe it is a sin to get drunk), etc. I was raised by a father who does NOT believe in gambling, dancing, drinking, or seeing rated R movies at all. I was not allowed to do any of this when I was little but he completely supports my decisions now. I think for myself. I dance at weddings. I have a glass of wine with dinner now and then. I play poker with my friends (sometimes with real money sometimes just for fun with the chips). I see rated R movies that aren't gross (I can't handle blood or violence. Makes me sick). As a Christian, I have the Holy Spirit convicting me of certain things. Every person is different in the struggles they have and that is why Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit. My best friend refuses to drink at all because he has been convicted of it and doesn't believe it is the right thing for him but he doesn't look down on me when I drink in front of him. And he doesn't feel he is missing out on anything.

Your opinion is very one sided. You should go out and do a poll on Christians of all sects and see what they're beliefs are and if they're happy. Studying your bible and being open and sensitive to the Holy Spirit will help you see what is right and what is wrong. You don't need to follow all the little rules and regulations of the church. Think for yourself, as you said.

Well consitering how many wars are religion based, or have a prejudice against certain religious groups, I would have to say that I hope the theists are right because they ***** up this world enough, they really need an afterlife to ***** up too...wait! I mean, they need an afterlife to tell which people are bad and good! No, they already do that...hmm I really don't see the point of organized religion!

I have seen too many Christians miss out on so many good things in life-----how sad. No folk dancing at a Girl Scout jam session (girls only) because it is a sin to dance, no playing cards, not seeing such and such movie, not mixing with certain people, not telling jokes because they might be a little off color, can't go on a picnic in the woods-got to go to church, etc.,. I was raised a Christian, and I saw people tip toeing around, afraid they might do something to keep them out of heaven. It was like living in fear.

I changed religions-not as much because of this-I could think for myself-but because I could not handle thinking Jesus is G-d.
G-d is One.

In reply to one answer---one does not have to be a Christian to be kind and nice to people. Anyone can be a good person.

I believe Christ is my savior.

What is wrong with wanting to live my life to be kind and considerate to others as I believe Jesus wants me to. What is wrong with helping those is need and showing by setting good examples, teaching my son the difference between right and wrong and knowing that when you are kind great things happen in your life.

John Legend has a beautiful voice. Don't know.

God Bless!!

For the person who wrote, they miss out on life experiences...

Which experiences do I lose? I have many that I would have liked to never have. And I have many that anyone can have..

I have swam in 2 oceans, climbed mountains, walked on glaciers. Flew in a helicopter, and met a President. I have climbed down into caves and kissed a boy behind the school.

Life is good, being a Christian makes it better. Don't think that we miss out on anything. With Christ it's 20/20 vision.

Not Pascal's Wager again. The most invalidated religious argument of all time.

Where do these idiots come from?

Good point Tommy, thanks for an open minded comment.

If you accept Jesus, you go to heaven if Christians are right...if they are wrong, nothing happens.

Lots of them will say its not that easy and you must join their church and practice all these principles. That is to become a true disciple of Christ.

But just to be SAVED is that easy and they confuse the two.

Great question, my opinion is just that I state nothing as factual, but thanks for listening to my 2 cents!

Thank you !!!
We lose nothing.
We lead generally happy, healthy lives that are filled with hope, and compassion. No experiences are withheld from us, yet wisdom prevails in allowing us to foresee consequences of bad choices.
